Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the engine left side spark plug wires. Refer to ENGINE CONTROLS - REMOVAL & INSTALLATION & OVERHAUL  in Removal and Installation in Engine Performance.
  2. Remove the right engine mount strut at the engine. Refer to ENGINE MOUNT STRUT REPLACEMENT - RIGHT   . 
  3. Remove the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve from the engine left side valve rocker arm cover.
  4. Remove the valve rocker arm cover bolts.
  5. Remove the valve rocker arm cover and gasket.
  6. Clean the valve rocker arm cover gasket sealing surfaces on the cylinder head and the lower intake manifold.
