Removal Procedure

- Drain the engine coolant from the cooling system. Refer to DRAINING AND FILLING COOLING SYSTEM in Engine Cooling.
- Remove the oil cooler pipe bracket bolt from the oil cooler pipe bracket at the right engine mount strut bracket.
- Disconnect the upper oil cooler outlet hose from the thermostat bypass pipe.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to JACKING AND LIFTING in General Information.
- Disconnect the lower oil cooler outlet hose from the oil cooler.
- Remove the oil cooler outlet hoses and pipe.
- Remove the upper and/or lower oil cooler outlet hose(s) from the oil cooler pipe.
