Conditions For Setting DTC

DTC will set if the fail counter is equal to 10,000 when:
- DTC P0705, P0716, P0717, P0722, P0723, P1756, P1779, P1883, P1884, P1885, P1886, P1888, P1889, U2103, U2104 and U2105 have not set.
- Ignition voltage is 8-18 volts.
- Transmission fluid temperature is greater than 70°F (21°C).
- PNP switch is equal to Drive.
- Engine speed is greater than 500 RPM for more than 5 seconds.
- The absolute value of the difference between the speed ratio and the desired speed ratio is greater than 0.1 on 2002 models and 0.45 on 2003 models.
- Speed ratio is 0.38-0.9 on 2002 models and 0.35-1.1 on 2003 models.
- Transaxle input speed is greater than 700 RPM.
- Accelerator pedal position angle is greater than 5 percent.
- Transaxle output speed greater than 400 RPM.
- Time since range change greater than 6 seconds.
DTC P1882 diagnostic runs continuously when the above conditions have been met. DTC P1882 is a type "A" DTC.
