Installation Procedure

  1. If replacing the receiver dehydrator add the specified amount of PAG oil directly to the receiver dehydrator. Refer to REFRIGERANT SYSTEM CAPACITIES   . 
  2. Install new sealing washers for the receiver dehydrator. Refer to SEALING WASHER REPLACEMENT   . 
  3. Install the receiver dehydrator to the condenser.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the receiver dehydrator lower mounting bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the nuts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

  5. Install the receiver dehydrator upper bracket bolt.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

  6. Install the condenser, Refer to CONDENSER REPLACEMENT   . 
  7. Evacuate and recharge the A/C system. Refer to REFRIGERANT RECOVERY AND RECHARGING   . 
  8. Leak test the fittings of the component using J 39400-A.
