Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Montana, 2003 Oldsmobile Silhouette, and 2003 Chevrolet Venture. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the inlet heater hose.
  2. Connect the inlet heater hose to the heater core.
  3. Position the heater hose clamp using the J 38185.

  4. Connect the inlet heater hose (1) to the inlet pipe (2).

  6. Install the transmission fluid filler tube. Refer to FILLER TUBE AND SEAL REPLACEMENT  in Automatic Transaxle - 4T65-E.
  7. Connect the throttle and cruise control cables to the TBI mounting bracket.
  8. Install the air cleaner cover and intake tube. Refer to AIR CLEANER INTAKE DUCT in Removal & Installation.
  9. Connect the vacuum hose to the brake booster.
  10. Install the left wiper arm linkage.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  11. Install the left wiper arm linkage nuts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the nuts to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

  12. Fill the cooling system. Refer to DRAINING AND FILLING COOLING SYSTEM  in Engine Cooling.
