Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the bolts that secure the rear of the seat to the floorpan.
  2. Disengage the front seat hooks from the floorpan and tip the seat back to access the lumbar relays.

    Important:  Only the vertical relay connector has a red and a yellow wire. Mark the relay.

  3. Disconnect the position assurance pins and remove the electrical connectors from the relays (1,2).
  4. Slide the vertical or horizontal relay toward the seat center and lift up to disconnect the relay from the clip.
  5. Remove the relay from the vehicle.
