Removal Procedure

  1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery And Recharging  .
  2. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
  3. Remove the A/C compressor hose nut (1) from the condenser.
  4. Remove the A/C compressor hose from the condenser.

  5. Remove the A/C compressor hose nut (2) from the accumulator.
  6. Remove the A/C compressor hose from the accumulator.

  7. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to LIFTING AND JACKING THE VEHICLE .
  8. Remove the lower air deflector. Refer to RADIATOR AIR BAFFLE AND DEFLECTOR REPLACEMENT-LOWER .
  9. Remove the A/C compressor hose nut from the A/C compressor.

    Important:  Remove and discard all the used O-ring and the sealing washers.

  10. Remove the A/C compressor hose from the A/C compressor.
