Replacement Procedure

- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECT/CONNECT PROCEDURE .
- Remove the right instrument panel (I/P) insulator. Refer to CLOSEOUT/INSULATOR PANEL REPLACEMENT -- RIGHT .
- Remove the I/P compartment door. Refer to COMPARTMENT REPLACEMENT -- IP .
- Remove the I/P compartment.
- Disengage the fuse block retainers from the I/P trim pad.
- Disconnect the wiring harness retainer (1) from the I/P trim pad (2).
- Remove the fuse block.
- Remove the fuses and the circuit breakers from the fuse block. Refer to UNDERHOOD FUSE BLOCK .
- Using the correct tool from J 38125-B , remove the wires from the fuse block. Refer to UNDERHOOD FUSE BLOCK .
- Remove the fuse block.
