Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Chevrolet Corvette. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

CAUTION: In order to avoid personal injury or vehicle damage when you repair or replace the carpet, use the same thickness and material size as the original Installation. Always return the carpet to the original location.

Position the carpet to the rear floor.
Install the center rear floor stowage compartment cover latch striker retainers.

Install the rear corner carpet trim panels. Refer to TRIM PANEL CARPET REPLACEMENT - REAR CORNER (COUPE) or TRIM PANEL CARPET REPLACEMENT - REAR CORNER (CONVERTIBLE) or TRIM PANEL CARPET REPLACEMENT - REAR CORNER (HARDTOP) .

Install the stowage compartment covers.
Close the rear compartment lid.

Important: Do not attempt to open the folding top stowage lid and the rear compartment lid at the same time. The panels will contact in the open position.
Open the folding top stowage lid.

Tuck the carpet behind the supports.
Install the support trim panels.
Install the speaker covers.
Close the folding top stowage lid.
