DTC will set if diagnostic does not pass within 25 minutes after start-up. DTC is designed to detect a faulty thermostat. A skewed ECT sensor may cause DTC to set. A skewed Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor may cause this DTC to set. IAT sensor should read about ambient temperature.
