Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the roof panel.

  2. Remove the side weatherstrip. Refer to WEATHERSTRIP REPLACEMENT - LIFT OFF PANEL .
  3. Mark the location of the retainer.
  4. Remove the screws attaching the retainer.
  5. Remove the retainer by pulling the retainer loose from the roof panel.
  6. Clean the retainer and the roof panel contact surfaces using 3M™ adhesive remover P/N 8984 or equivalent.
