Installation Procedure

  1. Apply sealer, GM P/N 12345739 (Canadian P/N 10953472), or equivalent to the upper corner of the roof side rail and to the rear of the main control link (2).

  2. Position the retainer to the rear side rail.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the screws attaching the retainer to the rear side rail.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 4 N.m (35 lb in).

  4. Apply a bead of sealer, GM P/N 12345739 (Canadian P/N 10953472), or equivalent to the upper and the lower corners of the side rail retainer.
  5. Install the rear side rail weatherstrip. Refer to WEATHERSTRIP REPLACEMENT - FOLDING TOP (FRONT AND CENTER SIDE RAILS)  or WEATHERSTRIP REPLACEMENT - FOLDING TOP (REAR SIDE RAIL)  or WEATHERSTRIP REPLACEMENT - FOLDING TOP (NUMBER FIVE BOW) .
  6. Reposition the folding top to the original position.
