Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Pontiac Aztek and 2004 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

  1. If you are replacing the center section of the console duct, perform the following procedure:
    1. Install the center console duct to the console.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
    3. Install the center console duct screws.

      Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in).

    4. Install the center console. Refer to Console Replacement - Front Floor (Aztek) or Console Replacement - Front Floor (Rendezvous) in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  2. IMPORTANT: Align the rear power supply harness away from the center mounting stud of the rear duct.
  3. Install the rear duct to the console.
  4. Install the rear duct screws.

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in).

  5. Connect the rear power supply electrical connector.
  6. Install the rear section of the console trim panel.
