Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Pontiac Aztek and 2004 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
    IMPORTANT: Ensure that there are no kinks in the brake hose.
  1. Align the hose fitting with the notch in the brackets.

  3. Install the brake hose to the brackets.
  4. Install the brake hose retainers to the hose fittings.
  5. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  6. Install the brake pipes (1) to the brake hose.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fittings to 21 N.m (15 lb ft).

  7. Bleed the hydraulic brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual)  or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure) .
  8. Lower the vehicle.
