Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. If the vehicle is equipped with automatic level control, perform the following steps:
    1. Disconnect the automatic level control sensor electrical connector.
    2. IMPORTANT: Do NOT disconnect the automatic level control sensor link from the sensor arm.
    3. Disconnect the height sensor link from the rear axle tie rod.

  4. Remove the rear axle tie rod bolts.
  5. Remove the rear axle tie rod from the vehicle.
