Removal Procedure

- Remove the power steering pressure pipe/hose nut from the power steering reservoir mounting stud.
- Remove the power steering pressure pipe/hose from the power steering reservoir mounting stud.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
- Remove the front right tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
- Remove the right side engine splash shield. Refer to Splash Shield Replacement - Engine in Body Front End.
- Place a drain pan under the power steering pump and the power steering gear.
- Disconnect the pressure hose from the steering gear.
- Disconnect the pressure hose from the hose retainer.
- Disconnect the pressure hose fitting from the power steering pump.
- Remove the pressure hose from the vehicle.
