Manual Shaft & Seal: Removal

Disconnect the shift linkage by removing the nut at the manual shaft level on the top of the transaxle. Remove the detent lever and roller assembly. See DETENT LEVER & ROLLER ASSEMBLY . Remove the following parts:
- The manual shaft (16) out through the top of the bell housing. See Fig 1 .
- The manual shaft seal (20).
