Removal & Installation

  1. Before proceeding, See AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM . Disconnect negative battery cable.
  2. Move seat to full forward position. Remove B-pillar trim panel, Remove Connection Position Assurance (CPA) clip from SIS electrical connector. Disconnect SIS connector. Remove SIS mounting bolts. See Fig 1. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten SIS mounting bolts to 80 INCH lbs. (9 N.m).
