Transaxle Brace (4T65-E): Installation

  1. Install the transaxle brace. Hand start the bolts in the engine block, oil pan, and case extension.
  2. Fully install the transaxle brace bolts. See Figure . Tighten the transaxle brace bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Fully install the case extension bolts. Tighten the case extension bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
    4. NOTE: Carefully guide the right drive axle output shaft past the lip seal. Do not allow the shaft splines to contact any portion of the lip seal surface.
  4. Install the right drive axle into the vehicle. Install the right front tire and wheel. Lower the vehicle.
