Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air inlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Intake Duct Replacement Engine Controls - 3.6L (LY7).
  2. Remove the coolant (block) heater cord from the transmission fill tube.
  3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  4. Remove the catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement in Engine Exhaust.
  5. Remove the engine coolant (block) heater cord from the engine coolant heater.
  6. Remove the engine coolant (block) heater cord.
