Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Turn the ignition OFF.
  2. Remove the air inlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Intake Duct Replacement .
  3. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief Procedure .
  4. Remove the fuel pressure and evaporative emission (EVAP) hoses from the engine. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Metal Collar)  and Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Plastic Collar) .

  6. Remove the purge line from the purge line retainer.
  7. Remove the throttle body. Refer to Throttle Body Assembly Replacement .

  9. Remove the fuel feed hose bracket bolt.

  11. Use the Snap-On® ACT1370 Disconnect Set or equivalent to disconnect the fuel feed hose from the fuel rail.
  12. Carefully remove the purge line retainer from the fuel feed hose bracket as necessary.
