1 Did you perform the IPC Diagnostic System Check? Go to Step 2  Go to Diagnostic System Check - Instrument Cluster

  1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  2. Install a scan tool.
  3. With a scan tool, perform the Tach Gage Sweep Test.
Does the tachometer move from 0 RPM to 7000 RPM and back to 0 RPM when you sweep this gage up and down?		 Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems Go to Step 3

IMPORTANT: Perform the compass calibration and variance procedure on the replacement IPC.
Replace the IPC. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Replacement .Did you complete the replacement?		 Go to Step 4  -
4 Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
Did you correct the condition?		 System OK Go to Step 2
