Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) Inoperative

Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) Inoperative

1 Did you perform the Lighting System Diagnostic System Check? Go to Step 2  Go to Diagnostic System Check - Lighting Systems

  1. Turn the ignition to the ON position.
  2. Turn the headlamp switch tot he ON position.
Do the headlamps illuminate?
Go to Step 3  Go to Headlamps Inoperative - Low Beams

  1. Turn the headlamp switch to the OFF position.
  2. Apply a bright light to the ambient light sensor.
Do the DRL lamps illuminate?
Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems Go to Step 4

  1. Install a scan tool.
  2. Select the BCM display DTCs function on the scan tool.
Does the scan tool display any DTCs?
Go to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List  Go to Step 5

IMPORTANT: Perform the set up procedure for the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration in Body Control System.
Replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System.Did you complete the replacement?
Go to Step 6  -
6 Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
Did you correct the condition?
System OK Go to Step 2
