Accumulator Assembly (4L60-E): Removal

  1. Remove the control valve body. See VALVE BODY & PRESSURE SWITCH (4L60-E)  .
  2. Remove the accumulator cover bolts. See Figure .
  3. Remove the 1-2 accumulator cover and pin, piston and springs. Remove the 1-2 accumulator piston spring. Remove the 1-2 accumulator piston and the oil seal ring. See Figure .
  4. Remove the oil pass cover bolt. Remove the oil pass cover. See Figure .
  5. Remove the spacer plate. Remove the spacer plate gaskets. See Figure .
  6. Remove the 3-4 accumulator spring. Remove the piston oil seal ring. Remove the 3-4 accumulator piston and the pin. See Figure . Inspect the accumulator assembly.
