Removal Procedure

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
  2. Remove the left sound insulator. Refer to CLOSEOUT/INSULATOR PANEL REPLACEMENT - LEFT .
  3. Remove the knee bolster trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - KNEE BOLSTER .
  4. Remove the instrument panel accessory trim plate. Refer to TRIM PLATE REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) ACCESSORY .
  5. Remove the nuts that retain the knee bolster from the steering column support.
  6. Remove the knee bolster from the studs.
