Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the upper rear garnish molding. Refer to GARNISH MOLDING REPLACEMENT -- REAR UPPER in Interior Trim.
  2. Remove the body side trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT -- BODY SIDE (STANDARD CAB PICKUP) or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT -- BODY SIDE (EXTENDED CAB PICKUP) or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT -- BODY SIDE (2-DOOR UTILITY) or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT -- BODY SIDE (4-DOOR UTILITY) or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT -- BODY SIDE (CREW CAB) in Interior Trim.
  3. Remove the liftgate door sill plate. Refer to DOOR SILL PLATE REPLACEMENT -- LIFT GATE or DOOR SILL PLATE REPLACEMENT -- END GATE in Interior Trim.
  4. Disconnect the hose from the body harness connection.
  5. Disconnect the hose from the liftgate harness connection.
  6. Remove the hose clips from the vehicle body.
  7. Remove the hose assembly.
