Installation Procedure

Apply sealant to the oil drain plug threads. Use Teflon® GM P/N 1052080, or the equivalent.

NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
Use the J 36511 in order to install the oil drain plug.
Tighten

Tighten the oil drain plug to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).

Fill the transmission to the level of the fill plug hole. Refer to LUBRICATION SPECIFICATIONS .

Apply sealant to the oil fill plug threads. Use Teflon® GM P/N 1052080 or the equivalent.

Use the J 36511 in order to install the oil fill plug.
Tighten

Tighten the oil fill plug to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).
Remove the safety stands.
Lower the vehicle.
