Installation Procedure

  1. Install the vacuum actuator.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the vacuum actuator bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 1.4 N.m (12 lb in).

  3. Connect the front drive axle clutch cable.

    The front drive axle clutch cable must engage the vacuum actuator retainer spring.

  4. Connect the vacuum hose.
  5. Install the battery tray and the battery. Refer to BATTERY TRAY REPLACEMENT in Battery.
