Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Aztek and 2003 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the rear bumper fascia. Refer to FASCIA REPLACEMENT - REAR BUMPER (AZTEK)  or FASCIA REPLACEMENT - REAR BUMPER (RENDEZVOUS)  .
  2. Remove the energy absorber. Refer to ENERGY ABSORBER REPLACEMENT - REAR (AZTEK)  or ENERGY ABSORBER REPLACEMENT - REAR (RENDEZVOUS)  .
  3. Remove the impact bar bolts.

  4. Remove the impact bar.
