Installation Procedure

CAUTION: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
  1. Install the bolts that retain the front fascia mounting brackets to the bumper, if removed.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the front fascia mounting bracket to bumper bolts to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  2. Install the front fascia support (2) to the bumper, if removed. Tap down on the support with a rubber mallet, in order to install the tabs into the bumper.
  3. Install the push pin retainers (1) to the top of the front fascia.
  4. Install the bolts that retain the front fascia (4) to the mounting bracket (3).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the front fascia to mounting bracket bolts to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  5. Install the front grille to the vehicle. Refer to GRILLE REPLACEMENT .
