Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the hood.
  2. Remove the cable (1) from the hood latch (3).

  3. Remove the cable (1) from the retainer on the radiator support.
  4. Push the cable (1) and the grommet into the cab from the engine compartment.
  5. Remove the left side hinge pillar trim panel from the body. Refer to TRIM REPLACEMENT - HINGE PILLAR .
  6. Remove the screws retaining the cable handle (3) to the body.
  7. Remove the handle (3) from the hinge pillar.
  8. Remove the cable (1) from the vehicle.
