Lumbar Support Description and Operation (w/o A45, Memory Seat): Motors

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Oldsmobile Aurora and 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The lumbar system consists of two lumbar motors (horizontal and vertical) that operate independently of each other. Each motor contains an electronic circuit breaker (PTC) that will reset only after voltage has been removed from the motor. The lumbar horizontal motor moves the lumbar forward and rearward and the lumbar vertical motor moves the lumbar up and down.
