Average Speed

The IPC calculates the average speed and sends a class 2 message to the DIC indicating the average speed. The average speed is displayed in the DIC in one of the following formats:

The ### represent the average speed value as determined by the IPC. The units of the display correspond to the current IPC setting (English/metric). The DIC displays - instead of an average speed value if the DIC detects a loss of class 2 communications with the IPC. The average speed parameter is reset by pressing the RESET button for greater than 3 seconds while the average speed message is displayed.
