Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Buick Regal and 2002 Buick Century. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the rear seat back. Refer to Seat Back Replacement - Rear (Non-Folding)  or Seat Back Replacement - Rear (Folding)  .
  2. Remove the rear seat back bolsters. Refer to Seat Back Bolster Replacement - Rear Split Folding .
  3. Remove the bolts (1) from the seat back frame.

  4. Remove the left rear seat back from the seat back frame.

  5. Remove the right rear seat back from the seat back frame.

  6. Unhook the J-hook retainers at the bottom of the rear seat back.

  8. Lift up the seat back trim material in order to expose the hidden trim flaps, and remove the staples.
  9. Reach inside of the rear seat back cover in order to unfasten the hook and loop retainers that secure the cover to the pad.
  10. Remove the folding armrest, if equipped. Refer to Armrest Replacement - Rear Seat .
  11. Remove the cover from the rear seat back by pulling the cover up and over the pad.
