Removal (Federal Emissions)

Disconnect negative battery cable(s). Remove retaining bolt in front of shield. Lift up on front of shield. Lift shield off rear bracket. Remove battery supply wiring harness nut and harness connector. Remove glow plug wiring harness nuts and harness connectors. Release wiring harness connectors at glow plug relay. Remove 2 glow plug relay mounting nuts. Remove glow plug relay from mounting studs. Remove upper intake manifold sight shield.
