Engine Block Assemble - Upper

Apply GM P/N United States 12345382, GM P/N Canada 10953489, or equivalent to the balance shaft rear bearing plug hole bore (1).

Install the balance shaft rear bearing hole plug flush to the outside surface.

CAUTION: Refer to in FASTENER NOTICE .
Install the coolant drain plug to the left side of the engine block.
Tighten

Tighten the coolant drain plug to 12 N.m (106 in lbs).
