Balance Shaft Removal

  1. Remove the balance shaft thrust plate bolts.

  2. Remove the balance shaft thrust plate.

  3. Using two hands, slide the balance shaft out the front of the engine. Be sure to support the balance shaft (1) during removal to prevent any damage to the bushings. The balance shaft bushings are not serviceable.
