Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear passenger seats when needed. Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT - REAR BENCH (ALL EXCEPT LUXURY) or SEAT REPLACEMENT - REAR BENCH (LUXURY Y91) .
  2. Remove the rear door frame opening garnish molding. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Rear Door Upper .
  3. Remove the driver side body side rear trim panel as needed. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Body Side Rear .
  4. Remove the passenger side rear corner trim panel as needed. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Right Rear Corner .
  5. Remove the body side rear lower garnish molding. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Body Side Lower Rear .
  6. Remove the body side rear upper garnish molding. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Body Side Rear Upper .
  7. Pull down on the upper corners of the garnish molding in order to disengage the retaining clips.
  8. Pull in order to disengage the remaining retaining clips.
  9. Remove the rear corner garnish molding from the vehicle.
  10. Inspect the rear corner garnish molding for broken or missing retaining clips. Replace the retaining clips as needed.
