Removal Procedure

  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
  2. Remove the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement .
  3. Remove the steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement - On Vehicle .
  4. Remove the TORX® head fastener from the shift lever to shift control.
  5. Pull the shift lever upward to remove it from the shift control.
