Electric Park Lock Module - Assemble - Off Vehicle

Tools Required: J 41352  Modular Column Holding Fixture

  1. Install the electric park lock (2) into the electronic lock module assembly (1).

  2. Screw the TORX® head screw (1) into the electric park lock (3).

    Tighten: 

    Tighten the TORX® head screw to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in) 

  3. Install the black connector (2) into the electric park lock (3).

  4. Install the upper trim cover (2) onto the steering column.
  5. Screw the 2 TORX® head screws (1) into the upper trim cover (2).

    Tighten: 

    Tighten the 2 TORX® head screws to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in)

  6. Install the lower trim cover (2) onto the upper trim cover.
  7. Match the tab slots on the lower trim cover (2) with the locking tabs on the upper trim cover.
  8. Tilt the lower trim cover (2) up.
  9. Slide the lower trim cover (2) forward until the locking tabs snap into the tab slots.
  10. Screw the 2 pan head tapping screws (1) into the lower trim cover (2).

    Tighten: 

    Tighten the 2 pan head tapping screws to 3.5 N.m (31 lb in)

  11. Remove the steering column and J 41352  from the vise.

  12. Install the tilt knob into the lower trim cover.
