Rear Disc Brake Hardware: Installation

  1. Lubricate with a high temperature silicone brake lubricant and install the caliper bolt boots and to the disc brake caliper mounting bracket. See Fig 1 . Lubricate with a high temperature silicone brake lubricant and Install the disc brake pad retainers to the disc brake caliper bracket. Install the disc brake pads and to the disc brake caliper bracket. Install the disc brake caliper to the mounting bracket. See Fig 1 .
  2. Install the disc brake caliper bolts and. Tighten the disc brake caliper bolts to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Apply and release the brake pedal (3/4 stroke) as many times as necessary in order to obtain a firm brake pedal.
  3. Install the tire and wheel. Lower the vehicle. Fill the master cylinder to the proper level with new clean brake fluid.
