Thermostat Inlet Housing And Element Replacement - L81: Removal

Drain coolant.
Lift and support intake manifold.

Disconnect radiator hose from coolant pipe.
Remove coolant pipe/engine lift bracket bolt.
Rotate oil level indicator and tube away from pipe.

Remove thermostat extension pipe.
Remove and discard 0-ring seals.

Remove thermostat with housing:
1. Remove bolts.
2. Tilt the rear of the thermostat housing upward.
3. Lift out the housing.
4. Remove and discard O-ring seal.
