Coolant Quality

NOTE: Engine's cooling system thermostat and water pump will not function correctly if oil is found in cooling system. Cooling system must be flushed and water pump and thermostat's cartridge replaced.

Inspect quality of coolant. There should not be any rust deposits, scale, or oil in surge tank or on coolant cap. If coolant is excessively dirty, cooling system should be flushed and cap replaced.
