Rear Axle Upper Control Arm Replacement: Installation

- Install the upper control arm.
- Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
- Install the bolts and the nuts which secure the upper control arm to the crossmember.
- Use 2 utility stands in order to raise the crossmember.
- Install the crossmember-to-underbody bolts. Tighten the bolts to 130 N.m (96 lb ft).
- Install the upper control arm to the knuckle. Tighten the nut which secures the upper control arm to 85 N.m (63 lb ft).
- Connect the shock absorber to the lower control arm. Refer to SHOCK ABSORBER REPLACEMENT .
- Connect the height sensor link to the lower control arm as necessary.
- Connect the park brake cable to the park brake actuator and the park brake cable bracket.
- Install the brake caliper. Refer to the following:

- Install the rear wheel. Refer to TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION in TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Lower the vehicle.
