FWD Without Axle: Installation

CAUTION: Care should be taken to avoid chipping or scratching the coating when handling the suspension coil spring. Damage to the coating can cause premature failure.
  1. Install the coil spring (2). See Figure.
  2. Use the utility jack in order to raise the lower control arm and load the suspension.
  3. Use the J-41820 in order to connect the ball joint to the knuckle. Figure.
  4. Install the stabilizer link to the lower control arm. Refer to STABILIZER SHAFT LINK REPLACEMENT .
  5. Use the utility jack in order to support the lower control arm.
  6. Install the ABS electrical connector mounting bracket.
  7. Connect the ABS electrical connector.
  8. Install the brake caliper mounting bracket. Refer to the following:
  9. Install the parking brake cable mounting bracket.
  10. Install the brake calipers. Refer to the following:
  11. Install the wheel and tire assemblies. Refer to TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION in TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  12. Lower the vehicle.
