Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Aztek and 2003 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the spare tire from the spare tire hoist.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle.
  3. Remove the tire and wheel.
  4. Disconnect the automatic level control (ALC) position sensor harness connector, if necessary.
  5. Disconnect the height sensor link from the lower control arm as necessary.
  6. Remove the left and right side stabilizer shaft insulators and brackets along with the ALC position sensor, if necessary.

  7. Disconnect the left and right stabilizer shaft links from the stabilizer shaft.
  8. Remove the stabilizer shaft.
