Wheel Bearing/Hub Replacement - Rear Disc And AWD: Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to LIFTING AND JACKING THE VEHICLE .
  2. Remove the tire and wheel.
  3. Inspect the ball joint. Refer to BALL JOINT INSPECTION .
  4. Disconnect the sensor lead.
  5. If equipped with all-wheel drive (AWD) remove the wheel drive shaft nut. Refer to AXLE SHAFT .
  6. Remove the wheel bearing/hub assembly knuckle bolts (1).

  7. Remove the wheel bearing/hub assembly from the knuckle.
