Park Brake Shoe Actuator: Installation

NOTE:
DO NOT apply lubricant to any of the bolt threads.
- Apply high temperature, silicone lubricant to the moving parts of actuator, except for the bolt threads.
- Install the actuator to the dust shield and tighten the mounting bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the park brake shoe assembly by grasping the shoe and spreading slightly while pulling the shoe over the actuator assembly.
- Install the park brake shoe retaining spring.
- Adjust the park brake. See PARKING BRAKE ADJUSTMENT under ADJUSTMENTS & INSPECTIONS.
- Install the rear brake rotor. See REAR BRAKE ROTOR . Tighten fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
