Front Disc Brake Hardware: Installation

  1. Lubricate and install the caliper bolt boots to the disc brake caliper mounting bracket. See Figure . Lubricate and install the disc brake pad retainers to the disc brake caliper bracket. Install the disc brake pads and to the disc brake caliper bracket. Install the disc brake caliper from the mounting bracket.
  2. Lubricate and Install the disc brake caliper bolts. Tighten the disc brake caliper bolts to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Apply and release the brake pedal (3/4 stroke) as many times as necessary in order to obtain a firm brake pedal.
  3. Install the tire and wheel. Lower the vehicle. Fill the master cylinder to the proper level.
