Zone 9

  1. Ensure ignition is off and key is removed. If activating entire SIR system, complete all steps. If activating passenger side impact air bag module and seat belt pretensioner only, go to step  5.
  2. Connect passenger-side air bag module connector. See Figure. Install Connector Position Assurance (CPA) clip. Install passenger-side knee bolster.
  3. Connect driver-side air bag module connector. See Figure. Install Connector Position Assurance (CPA) clip. Install driver-side knee bolster.
  4. Connect driver side impact and seat belt pretensioner connectors. See Figure. Install CPA clips.
  5. Connect passenger side impact and seat belt pretensioner connectors. See Figure. Install Connector Position Assurance (CPA) clips. Go to next step.
  6. Install SDM (15-amp) fuse located on right side of instrument panel. Install fuse block cover. Staying well away from air bag modules, turn ignition on. Check system for proper operation. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK .
